WORKING WITH KAMBO

HOW KAMBO IS ADMINISTERED

Kambo is administered by lighting up a special incense stick that is used to make a few light surface burns (gates) to the first layer of the skin to expose the entry to the lymphatic system. Through these gates is where the Kambo is applied and absorbed via the lymphatic system.

Before the ceremony begins, we will discuss the position and the number of gates you’ll receive depending on your personal needs. All first-timers will be safely tested for sensitivity before all the Kambo is applied. The same gates can be reused if you have a series of them in the same session.

PREPARING FOR KAMBO

For a few days prior you will want to eat as clean as possible. Try to stay away from fried and over processed foods. Limit salt, sugar, and oil. Drink lots of water with electrolytes and minerals to help your body to prepare. Spend sometime thinking deeply about your intentions and what you would like to receive from Kambo.

Caution:

- Please do not water or dry fast 5 days before or after Kambo.

- No colonics or enemas 3 days before or after.

-Abstain from alcohol and recreational drugs for 24 – 48 hours prior and after.

-No saunas, sweat lodges, high intensity workouts, or hot yoga 2 days before or after.

- Refrain from taking medications or supplements on the morning of session. If this is a concern, please contact me.

- Do not drink large amounts of fluid or water the morning of your session. However, hydrate well days before and after session.

THE DAY OF SESSION

Do not eat 8-10 hours before your scheduled ceremony. You can sip on water or hot tea 2 hours prior. You will need to bring a gallon of room temperature drinking water that is not distilled, alkaline, or mineralized. You will drink 2 liters in 15 minutes right before the Kambo is applied. Do not drink the 2 liters before you arrive. Please wait to take all pharmaceutical medications or supplements after the session.

THINGS YOU WILL NEED

• Two liters of room temperature water (not distilled, alkaline, or mineralized).

• A yoga mat or a cushion, something comfortable to lie on.

• Wear comfy clothes—chakra treatments for women must wear a sports bra or something similar.

• Extra set of clothes (in case of an accident).

• A blanket and pillow.

• If you wear contacts something to store them in.

• If you have asthma, bring your inhaler.

• Optional: Journal, sacred items, or snacks.

DURING KAMBO SESSION:

Once the Kambo is inside of you it will scan your entire body for any blockages or issues to purify those areas. Kambo’s effects are fast and intense, and may increase your heart rate with a hot flush of the body. You may experience tingling, numbness, throbbing sensations, burning, dizziness, spaciness, occasional swelling or shaking. In less than 10 minutes, you will begin to purge out all of the toxins energetically, physically and emotionally.

Everyone will respond to Kambo differently. Under my guidance, you will be completely safe, supported, and protected with the highest care during the entire process. Sessions are between 2-3 hours, but the intensity of Kambo is usually over within 20-45 minutes. Kambo is completely legal and non-psychoactive. To deepen your process, I will offer you sananga and hapeh before or after the session (description on both below).

Once the Kambo is removed from the gates, a natural bandaid made from a tree sap called “dragons blood” is applied to protect and heal them faster. The small burns normally vanish with time. However, depending on your skin, you may always have tiny visible scars. In general, people see their Kambo scars with pride and honor for their deep inner-work. The same points can be reused after 3 months.

Lightening in the Eye

Lightening in the Eye

SANANGA (optional)

Sananga is an eye-drop made from the juice of the root of a jungle shrub tabernaemontana sanana from the Apocynaceae family of plants. One or two drops is placed in each eye which produces a strong burning sensation.

Traditionally, Sananga was believed to relieve Panema (a negative or depressed energy), increase visual perception for hunting, and to balance a person emotionally, mentally, and spiritually. Some believe it can open your third-eye, and tribes such as the Yawanawá, would call upon Sananga to deepen their visions.

Physically, Sananga is used to treat conditions such as eye infection, keratoconus, glaucoma, astigmatism, conjunctivitis, and for dry/red eyes. It clears and freshens the eye and seems to immediately enhance vision. Its also a great help for sinusitis, chronic headaches, and the treatment of chronic pain.

Sananga can help ground and center when applied before or after a Kambo treatment. It can be used on its own as well.

Receiving Sananga teaches us about facing our pain head-on, and learning to breathe and to focus on our intention during the process. It can be helpful to remain in a state of gratitude and trust during the experience, and to let go of control, worry, and fear. When fresh, Sananga can be quite intense, lasting upwards of 20 minutes. Some people may prefer a diluted dose, which still stings but is less potent and the effect is shorter-lived. Both are healing and you will learn your own preference.

I offer Sananga in full strength and half-strength so that everyone who desires can get Sananga before or after their treatment. It’s a beautiful and heart opening experience. If you think you may want to use Sananga before or after your session, you will need to remove your contacts first or wear glasses instead.

Hapeh application

Hapeh application

Rapé | Hapeh (optional)

Rapé or Hapeh (pronounced Rap-Pay or Hap-PAY) is a snuff made from mapacho tobacco (nicotina rustica) and other ingredients such as seeds, leaves, herbs, flowers, and ash from a variety of medicinal or sacred trees. It is blown up the nose through a hollow tube pipe called a tepi (shown on picture above). It can be used during a Kambo session for grounding, or to help bring on a purge when the client feels stuck. An intense blow of Hapeh immediately helps to release emotional, physical, and spiritual blocks, and brings greater clarity, focus, and peace of mind, I have several different varieties available during a session.

FOLLOWING SESSION

You may feel energized or exhausted. Please allow yourself enough time and space after the session to contemplate the work you just did. You are doing deep work that goes beyond words and linear logic. After a good nights rest you will usually start to feel the real benefits that will continue in the following days, weeks, months, and even years ahead.

For a few days after the session eat as clean as possible. Do not consume fried, greasy, or processed foods. Do your best to limit your salt and sugar intake. Abstain from all recreational drugs and alcohol. Surround yourself with high vibrational energy to receive the full benefits of Kambo. Many people report feeling powerful, energetic, unstoppable, lighter, and peaceful after Kambo. They report feeling like their mind, body, and spirit had a reboot and were optimized to function at the highest level in every area of life.
